For over 20 years, I have poured candles in a tradition that is both timeless and rooted in America. What began as a simple craft has grown into a passion, one shaped by a love of early American antiques, hearthside living, and the art of handcrafted candles made the olde way.

Our original New England Buttery is the scent that started it all.
Rich with the aroma of fresh cream, hand-churned butter, and warm Vermont maple, this signature fragrance was created to capture the spirit of early New England kitchens and hearth-side baking.

Hand-poured with exceptional fragrance strength, New England Buttery has become one of our most recognized and beloved scents.

While others may try to imitate it, the original New England Buttery from formerly Ye Country Mercantile now Olde Post Road Candle Co. remains the authentic scent that customers have come to know and love.

What began as a simple passion grew into a life’s work shaped by my love of early American antiques, hearthside living, and the art of handcrafted candles made the olde way. Throughout this journey, my husband has been a constant voice of encouragement and support, standing beside me as I reshaped the business to reflect its true roots in early American style, honest workmanship, and enduring tradition.

I am proud to introduce our newly designed collection featuring heritage-inspired labels, our signature scents, and several new fragrances soon to follow. Among them is our original signature, well-known New England Buttery, a richly scented favorite said to fill an entire three-floor home with comforting warmth.

Married for 25 years, we are blessed with 15 grandchildren and one great-granddaughter, and my work is guided by family, faith, and a deep respect for the past. Every candle we pour carries a piece of our story crafted by hand, made with care, and meant to be shared.
